Okay, I'm in 11th grade and I live in South Carolina. My mom may be homeschooling me my last two years. Where to get a curriculum and books?
I've got most of my credits already. All I need now is:
1 English Credit
US History II
1 Gov't & Econ. Class (1/2 credit each)
1 Science Credit (Chemistry)
and 2 Math Credits.

It's a great curriculum. There are currently three options with SOS.
SOS home-an independent homeschool CD based curriculum.

Your parents purchase the curriculum and you work independently of a school. You are responsible for maintaining all your school records and grades. The program automatically grades 90% of the work you do. Your parents are responsible to assign grades for projects and essay questions (the answer key tells your parents what to look for. Upon completion of high school, your parents must create a high school transcript and give you a diploma. Monarch-is the on-line version of SOS.

You purchase a subscription to the curriculum, then login to your online lessons. They are identical to SOS, the only difference is it is subscription based, so you don't own the CDs and therefore the curriculum can not be re-used with a younger sibling. Like SOS your parents maintain your records, create a transcript and issue you a diploma. You can also attend a free Monarch Webinar where you can compare and contrast the two options

AOA Online Academy-Is an accredited online school that uses SOS.

With this option you are actually enrolled in a school. You submit your work to actual teachers who grade the work that the program does not automatically grade. When you complete the graduation requirements the Academy will issue high school transcripts and a diploma.
Cost approx $1780/year Grades 1-12
A fourth AOP option is LifePacs. This is AOP's non-computer homeschool option.

It uses LifePacs, work-text options. Each core subject contains 10 unit that contain the lessons, quizzes and unit tests for the subjects purchased. Like SOS, you are responsible for grading all work, maintaining all records, creating your transcripts and getting your own diploma. It's the most economical option from Alpha Omega.
Cost $392/year Grades 1-12;
If you choose to go the independent route do not feel daunted by the transcripts and the diploma. These are easily remedied. Remember SOS and Monarch maintains all records for you, so all you need to do is give your homeschool a name (many families get real creative and others just use their last name, street name or other identifiable name and add Academy e.g Lee Family HomeSchool) enter all your grades into a transcript template, print the transcript and you have an acceptable high school transcript.
