The 89-year-old former senator and GOP presidential candidate is reportedly being hospitalized at Walter Reed Hospital.

Bob Dole “is at Walter Reed not for a checkup,” Harry Reid said on the Senate floor. “He is there because he is infirm. He is sick.”

According to CBS, a Dole assistant said that Dole is checked into the hospital for a routine procedure and will be discharged tomorrow.
