Include in before-meal treats and drinks (specifically alcohols) and one could conveniently take in over 4,000 calories on Thanksgiving. To aid Simi Valley citizens clear themselves of the extra calories, the Simi Valley Family members YMCA is hosting its sixth yearly “Turkey Burn Off,” Thursday, November 29.


Participants can participate in a collection of 30-minute, group physical exercise workouts from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with new courses starting every fifty percent hr. The workouts feature interior cycling, PiYo (a blend of Pilates and yoga exercise), muscle conditioning, aerobics and ab/core workouts. The courses are designed for all physical fitness levels and are free of cost to the general public.


“Some individuals see the day after Thanksgiving holiday as a time to store. Annually, numerous hundred people make use of the day after Thanksgiving to return to the Y and burn off all the extra calories they took in the day in the past,” claims Mitch McManus, healthy and balanced living and sports director at the Simi Y. “It’s a healthy and balanced start to the holiday season. Participants can take one workout or all the workouts offered.”
